VICHY Skin Care Line by L'Oreal - An Education in Skincare

A few weeks ago I had the opportunity to go to a demonstration for Vichy skin care line.  Now, I'm not the type of girl that seriously thinks about the future of my skin and I also don't like to spend a lot of time taking care of it.  I hoped that I would learn a bit about a new product and maybe I would feel the push to take better care of it in the future.  Let me say that my expectations were far over met!

As we entered that facility I was very excited.  Everyone was very kind, and the Vichy line is not only about selling you the best product that they can but they are the 'full circle' package.  There are basically three main components to the line' education, consultation and utilization.

As a high school teacher, I have a personal dedication to education and feel that it is an overlooked aspect to many parts of our everyday lives.  It was comforting to me to know that not only am I going to get a quality product, but I'm going to learn why I need it and what products would work best for me as an individual.  We used computers that gave us the background information of the company, and then we were led to a screen that had different topics ranging from cellulite to hydration of skin.  It was an interactive tool that was very informative and creative. 

After the education aspect, there was the consultation portion of the Vichy journey.   I was able to meet with a dermatologist for the first time ever.  She was unbelievably friendly and knowledgeable.  Her job was not to tell me what Vichy products to buy, but rather to teach me about my own skin.  She used different tools that told me about my skin.  She  took a picture of my face that showed sun damage, she used a special tool that determined how hydrated my skin was, and my least favorite' what my skin looks like magnified thirty times' that was SCARY!  It was very helpful when she shared different facts about skin and explained simple things that I can do to protect it over a long period of time.  I had no idea that one in five people in America will end up with skin cancer, and in Southern California the statistic is more like one in three!  That was a major wake-up call for me to stop using the tanning bed and start applying sunscreen!

After meeting with the dermatologist, I was off to the third and final step of the process.  I spoke with a specialist about all of the different products that would work for my skin type.  She was very knowledgeable and patient with all of my questions.  The amazing part of this is that she was not trying to sell the Vichy line, but just show me options on ALL the different products available.  That really impressed me, because it showed the dedication that Vichy has to people and not profit.

It has been two weeks since I started using the Vichy products, and my skin honestly feels completely different.  It feels softer, but it also looks better!  I can't believe what a change this has made in my life!  I am very impressed with this product line, and I will continue to use it and recommend it to my friends.
